Hopper Silo
The hopper silo, also known as a cone bottom silo, is designed for efficient gravity-based discharge of bulk materials like grain, seeds, and feed while maintaining good internal cleanliness. By using a conical bottom structure, stored materials can flow toward the outlet more efficiently, reducing material retention compared with flat bottom designs.

Application Scope
Hopper bottom silos are widely used in seed processing, flour milling, feed production, breeding operations, cement plants, and chemical processing lines. These industries often involve frequent material changeover and regular silo emptying, making controlled discharge and stable flow behavior important factors in silo selection.
The design supports free-flow discharge for most granular materials. For certain materials or operating conditions, they can still be equipped with auxiliary discharge or cleaning equipment to ensure complete emptying and stable operation.
Conical Bottom Structure
The conical bottom of a hopper silo is supported by a reinforced steel structure that provides high load-bearing capacity and long-term stability. The hopper cone is engineered with sufficient strength to handle both static storage loads and dynamic discharge forces.
Common hopper angles include 40°, 45°, and 60°, allowing the silo to be matched with different material characteristics:
- 40° and 45° cones are suitable for free-flowing grains and pellets.
- 60° one designs are typically used for larger pellets or powdered materials with higher viscosity, helping improve material flow and reduce bridging.
